Dont talk to me now.

So much anger and sadness in me.

Today started out as a great day. My mum, sister and I went to town together at noon. It has been real long since I've went out with my mum, and I knew it was gonna be fun. We went to have lunch at sushi tei, then I went to have my facial session which was scheduled at 2. After the much agonizing process (yes facial is painful), I went down to meet my mum and sister. We shopped for a bit, and ended up in DKNY.

I was trying some clothes with my mum in the dressing room. I like this particular blouse but it was a little too tight up at the shoulder blade and chest. The larger sizes were out of stock, so I was down there contemplating whether to get it or not.

Mum: "Aiya, I go back HK and help you see if there's a bigger size la."

Me: "Huh? HK? But by then it'll be winter already wad, where are you gonna find this short sleeved blouse."

Mum:" Winter? Why would it be winter."

Me (very confused): "Huh? December not winter meh??"

Mum: "next week la."

Me: "YOU'RE GOING BACK TO HK NEXT WEEK!? Why you never tell me???"

Mum: "tell you for wad. The other time there's no more air tickets ma, so we go back next week la."

Me: "But next next week's my birthday..."

Mum: "Aiya, then this (the blouse) is your birthday present lo. Do you know how much it cost or not, 300+ leh."

There was a long pause, and finally I opened my mouth and said I dont want the blouse already.

Mum: "Why? It's nice wad."

Me: "I dont really like it THAT much la."

For the rest of the day, I was feeling really moody, and couldnt stop myself from ignoring my mum. What was she thinking man? She think I got so worked up about her and dad going back to hk cuz I wont get a BIRTHDAY PRESENT!? If that's really the case I could've just thrown a bitch fit and demand for a large sum of money cant I? How insensitive can one get?

This wasnt the first time it has happened. And it's not like as if they have no choice but to go back next week. I dont want to end up like those tragic drama, where the parents are so obsessed in getting richer that they totally neglect their kids, throwing money at them and thinking it'll make them happy.

Birthdays are supposed to make you special.
